League Republic review and alternative for football leagues
Looking for a League Republic alternative that was built around football? LeagueRepublic has run leagues since 2002 across more than a dozen sports, from netball to pool. FLM System runs one. The referee runs the match on a phone, the table moves while the game is on, and the league site carries your colours and your sponsors, with no adverts.
Leagues that already run on FLM System
From six-a-side and futsal to corporate competitions, organisers in Poland, the UK, the USA, Kazakhstan and the Solomon Islands run their seasons in FLM System.
FLM System vs LeagueRepublic
A football-only system next to a multi-sport platform with more than twenty years behind it. Every line below comes from the vendors' own materials, and where we could not find something in theirs, it says so.
The referee runs the match and the table keeps up
LeagueRepublic does show matches in progress on its Live Results page. The score there is typed in by hand as the latest score, and their help centre says plainly that it does not touch the table until someone changes it to a final score. The referee's part is a form with the score and the questions from the match report.
In FLM System the referee holds the phone. They open the match and take it through kick-off, half-time, extra time and penalties, logging goals, assists and cards against the player who earned them. Standings, the top-scorer list and player cards recalculate while the game is still on.

An ad-free league site on your own domain
On LeagueRepublic, the plan decides what your players see. Taking the adverts off, moving the site to your own domain, showing sponsors and embedding the table on a club website all sit in the Gold plan. The custom domain switches on only once Gold is paid, so the trial runs on their address.
An FLM System league site carries your logo, your colours and your sponsors, and never an advert. It runs on your own domain, and the table and today's matches drop into a site you already run with one embed.

Switching to a League Republic alternative without losing your history
For a league that has spent years on LeagueRepublic, the archive is the hardest thing to leave behind.
LeagueRepublic lets organisers download their league data. We take that export and migrate your teams, players and past results, so the new season opens with last season's table, squads and player records already in place. We have moved five leagues across so far, one of them with seven seasons and close to 1,500 matches. Setup takes a few days.

Built for football from the first match
LeagueRepublic serves netball, darts and snooker as well as football, so its statistics are types each league picks or defines in setup, from a list shared by every sport on the platform. Someone has to set them up before the first result goes in.
FLM System starts with football already in place: goals, assists and cards with the minute, goals conceded counted for the goalkeeper from every goal against, player of the match, and player cards that keep club history across seasons. Fixtures, the referee app, automatic tables and the public site run in one system.

What our clients say about the football league management system
When LeagueRepublic is the better choice
LeagueRepublic covers ground we deliberately leave alone, and it has the pedigree: the same company built Full-Time, the FA's system for grassroots leagues. One account runs football next to netball, darts or snooker. Its advanced scheduler works around team and venue availability, shared pitches and clashes, team managers in the UK can text results in, and referee appointments come with match reports and referee ratings. If those are the reasons you picked it, it may still be the right home for your league.
A six-a-side league playing on one pitch on a Tuesday night rarely touches any of that. It needs the score, the scorers and the cards in the right place by the final whistle.

Frequently asked questions
Common questions from organisers moving a league across.
Can we move our league from LeagueRepublic?
Yes. LeagueRepublic lets you download your league data, and we migrate teams, players and past results from that export, along with anything else you keep in a spreadsheet. Archives that span many seasons or several divisions are quoted individually once we have seen what you are holding.
Is the league site free of adverts, and can it use our own domain?
Yes to both. No FLM System league site shows adverts, and yours runs on your own domain with your logo, colours and sponsors. The table and today's matches can also be embedded in a club or association website you already run.
Does the referee need an app from the store?
No. The referee panel opens in a browser on their phone, so there is nothing to install and nothing to update before kick-off. It does need a connection while the match is on, because goals, cards and the score go to the public site as they happen.
Do we have to retype our teams and players?
No. Teams and players come in from a spreadsheet. Fixtures can be generated as a round robin or entered by hand where you already know who plays whom and when.
Which competition formats are supported?
League fixtures, groups feeding into playoffs, and cup brackets with single or double elimination, with or without placement games and a consolation bracket. The order of tie-breaks in the table is configurable. Small-sided formats are the ones the system was built for: five, six, seven and nine-a-side, futsal and indoor.
How much does FLM System cost?
From $1 per team per month, with unlimited leagues, matches and players. Book a demo and we will price your league on the call.
