Amateur football league match – FLM System as a LeagueApps alternative

LeagueApps review and alternative for football leagues

Looking for a LeagueApps alternative for your football league? LeagueApps is an American youth sports management platform that handles registration, payments and communication with families for clubs, camps and leagues across nine sports. FLM System is built for one job: running the league. The referee runs the match on a phone, the table moves while it is being played, and every goal and card lands on the player who earned it.

Leagues that already run on FLM System

From six-a-side and futsal to corporate competitions, organisers in Poland, the UK, the USA, Kazakhstan and the Solomon Islands run their seasons in FLM System.

The referee runs the match and the table keeps up

In LeagueApps, a result is a record entered after the match: Final, Final (OT), Forfeit, Cancelled or Rescheduled. An admin or a staff member with scoring rights types it in, and a team captain can do it only once the match is at least an hour past its scheduled start. The table recalculates when the score goes in.

In FLM System the referee holds the phone. They open the match and take it through kick-off, half-time, extra time and penalties, logging goals, assists and cards against the player who earned them. The table, the top-scorer list and player cards recalculate while the match is still on, and the public league site refreshes on its own.

Player stats

Football stats in the same system as the scores

LeagueApps hands player statistics to MyStatsOnline, a separate platform with its own account. Goals, assists and penalties are entered there, appear on the LeagueApps site through an embedded frame, and any problem with them goes to MyStatsOnline support.

In FLM System the events the referee logs during the match are the statistics. Goals conceded are counted for the goalkeeper from every goal against, the referee picks the player of the match in the same app, and each player card keeps club history across seasons, next to an all-time table on the league site. A red card opens the suspension by itself, for the number of matches you set, and the player cannot be named in a squad until it is served.

League first

A LeagueApps alternative built around the league itself

LeagueApps calls itself a youth sports management platform, and most of its features handle what happens around the matches: individual registration with waivers and instalment plans, payments, messages to families, camps, trials and facilities. It charges a one-off setup fee plus a percentage of every online payment, and quotes each organisation separately.

FLM System starts where the season starts: fixtures across your pitches, a referee on every match, the result, the table and the public league site. Team managers register their teams, you see which ones have paid, and the price is on our website. It grows with the number of teams you run, whatever you collect in fees.

Why organisers switch

Built for football leagues from the first match

LeagueApps serves nine sports and a long list of programme types, so its league module records final scores and leaves player stats to a partner platform.

FLM System starts with football already in place: points for a win, a draw and a defeat, football tie-breaks, goals, assists and cards with the minute, and formats from round robin to double elimination. Fixtures, the referee app, automatic tables and the public site run in one system. Switching to a LeagueApps alternative takes a few days: LeagueApps exports your fixtures and member lists to CSV, and we bring in your teams, players and past results.

Where LeagueApps wins

When LeagueApps is the better choice

LeagueApps covers ground we deliberately leave alone. It is built for American youth organisations that register hundreds of players one by one, with waivers, instalment plans, automatic payments and insurance, and that keep families informed through a mobile app with RSVPs, check-ins and chat. One account runs camps, trials, player evaluations and facility bookings across nine sports, and a separate LeagueApps product runs elite youth competitions such as MLS NEXT. If those are the reasons you picked it, it may still be the right home for your organisation.

A six-a-side league playing on one pitch on a Tuesday night rarely touches any of that. It needs the score, the scorers and the cards in the right place by full time.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions from organisers moving a league across.

Can we move our league from LeagueApps?

Yes. LeagueApps lets you export your fixtures and member lists to CSV. We bring your teams and players in from those files and migrate past results, so the new season opens with last season's table and player records already in place. Archives that span many seasons or several divisions are quoted individually once we have seen what you are holding.

How is FLM System priced compared with LeagueApps?

FLM System is priced per team: from $1 per team per month, with unlimited leagues, matches and players, and the price is published on our website. LeagueApps quotes each organisation and charges a setup fee plus a percentage of online payments. Book a demo and we will price your league on the call.

Does the referee need an app from the store?

No. The referee panel opens in a browser on their phone, so there is nothing to install and nothing to update before kick-off. It does need a connection while the match is on, because goals, cards and the score go to the public site as they happen.

Can players and parents register individually?

FLM System registers teams. A team manager signs the team up, you accept it, and the manager keeps the squad up to date. If your organisation registers hundreds of players one by one, with waivers and instalment plans, LeagueApps is built for that.

Which competition formats are supported?

League fixtures, groups feeding into knockout rounds, and cup brackets with single or double elimination, with or without placement matches and a consolation bracket. Points for a win, a draw and a defeat are set per competition, and you choose which tie-breaks count: head-to-head, goal difference, goals scored and wins. Small-sided formats are the ones the system was built for: five-, six-, seven- and nine-a-side, futsal and indoor football.

Can we keep the table on the website we already run?

Yes. The table and today's matches embed into a club or association website, and they update live while matches are on. The league site itself runs on your own domain, with your logo, colours and sponsors.
