TeamSideline review and alternative for football leagues
TeamSideline is an American platform for parks departments, YMCAs and youth associations that run ten or more sports on a single annual plan. FLM System is a TeamSideline alternative made for football and nothing else. In a five-a-side, six-a-side or Sunday league, the referee enters the match on a phone as it is played, the league table updates itself, and you pay from $1 per team per month.
Leagues that already run on FLM System
Small-sided, futsal, indoor and corporate leagues in Poland, the UK, the USA, Kazakhstan and the Solomon Islands run their seasons in FLM System.
FLM System vs TeamSideline
TeamSideline's plans, add-ons and prices are taken from its own pricing page, FAQ and feature pages, checked in October 2026. It bills in US dollars.
The ref runs the match and the table keeps pace
With TeamSideline, the result turns up after the final whistle. Coaches can enter scores on the Enhanced plan, and with the Officials add-on ($299 a year) each referee receives a post-match report email and sends back the score and notes by email or in the app. The standings change once that report arrives.
With FLM System the referee keeps the phone from kick-off to full time. They start the match, tick off both squads and the goalkeepers, and log goals, assists and cards against the player responsible. Anyone watching the league site sees each event as it happens. Before the teams are back in the changing room, the table, the top scorers and the red card suspensions have already moved. The referee panel opens in a phone browser, so there is nothing to install.

What a season costs on each platform
TeamSideline charges one flat fee a year per plan. Core costs $599 for up to 100 teams, Enhanced starts at $899 and Elite at $1,499, and modules for officials, tournaments, facilities or advanced scheduling add $199 to $499 each. For an American city recreation department with 80 teams across four sports, that is fair value.
A 20-team adult football league is a different animal. FLM System costs from $1 per team per month, so that league starts at $240 a year, and the referee app, cup brackets and the public league site are part of the price. Teams pay their league fees online by card into your own Stripe account, and FLM System takes no commission on them.

An assistant that handles the league admin itself
TeamSideline gives every administrator AI Playbook, which answers questions about programmes, schedules and payments using its Help Centre and your organisation's data, and raises a support ticket when it gets stuck.
The AI assistant in FLM System carries out the work. You link your account to the assistant you already use, such as Claude or ChatGPT, and write as you would to a fellow organiser: set up the winter season, add six teams, draw up round-robin fixtures on Wednesday evenings at 7 and 8 pm, move round five back a week. It has exactly your permissions, sees only your organisation and can ask before each change. A new league and its fixtures arrive unpublished, so you check them before they go live.

Leaving TeamSideline without losing your history
The archive is what makes changing platforms feel risky: last season's table, the squads, who scored what.
We bring across your teams, players and past results, and anything you can export to a spreadsheet comes in through the CSV import. The new season opens with that history already there, so players find their records where they expect them.

Built for football, priced per team
A platform that also covers baseball, cheerleading and lacrosse keeps its settings generic, and the football jobs end up with you: chasing scores on a Sunday evening, correcting the table, answering who is top scorer.
FLM System does one job properly. Fixtures, a referee app for match day, automatic tables and statistics, and a public league site that players check between rounds. Prices are published: from $1 per team per month, with unlimited leagues, matches and players.
Referee app
The match is run from a phone and reaches the table live.
Public league site
Built for mobile, in your colours, on your own domain.
Per-team pricing

What league organisers say about FLM System
When TeamSideline is the better choice
TeamSideline does plenty we deliberately leave out. A US youth organisation running baseball, basketball and soccer gets one registration system with volunteer background checks, birth certificate tracking, trials and drafts, fundraising and an online shop. Its team app gives coaches and parents group chat and attendance, and its support line is open seven days a week. For a parks department with several hundred teams, one flat annual fee will usually beat paying per team. If that describes you, pick TeamSideline, and we would rather say so now.
A midweek five-a-side or Sunday league needs fewer things, done well: a ref who logs the match on a phone, a table that is right before everyone has left the car park, and a bill that tracks how many teams you have.

Frequently asked questions
Questions organisers ask when they look for a TeamSideline alternative.
How much does TeamSideline cost?
TeamSideline publishes its prices in US dollars. Core is $599 a year for up to 100 teams, Enhanced starts at $899 and Elite at $1,499, and Enterprise is priced on request. Officials ($299), Tournament ($199) and Advanced Scheduling ($499) are extra modules on top of the plan.
What is the best TeamSideline alternative for a football league?
That depends on the league. If the referee should log the match and the table should move during the game, a football-only system such as FLM System fits best. A multi-sport youth organisation that mainly needs registration and safeguarding paperwork is the customer TeamSideline was built for.
Does TeamSideline work for leagues in the UK?
It is built for the American market: its FAQ describes users across the United States, support is run by a US-based team, and its background checks plug into Little League and JDP. A UK league can sign up, but much of what the higher plans add is aimed at US youth sport.
Does the referee need an app from the store?
No. The referee panel opens in a phone browser, so there is nothing to install or update before kick-off. The phone does need signal during the match, because every goal and card goes to the public site as it happens.
Can we move our league across from TeamSideline?
Yes. We bring across teams, players and past results, and spreadsheet exports come in through the CSV import. Larger moves, with several seasons or competitions at once, are quoted once we have seen what you have.
How much does FLM System cost?
From $1 per team per month, with unlimited leagues, matches and players. A 20-team league starts at $20 a month, with the referee app, cup brackets and league site included. Book a demo and we will price your league on the call.
