The best league table creator and standings maker for soccer leagues in 2026
By Dawid Pątko

Soccer in the US keeps setting records. According to the Sports & Fitness Industry Association, outdoor soccer participation reached 16.8 million Americans in 2025, up 15.8% in a year, and indoor soccer grew to 6.6 million. SFIA also notes that adult participation (35+) is rising fast. Behind those numbers sit thousands of rec leagues, adult co-ed nights, indoor arenas and company leagues, and every one of them needs somebody to post the standings after each round. Most of those organizers start by searching for a league table creator.
A league table creator, also sold as a league table generator or league table maker (Americans often say standings maker or standings generator), turns match results into a sorted table. Some of the tools below are calculators that do exactly that and stop. Others build the schedule, collect results from the field and publish the table on a league website. We compared ten of them, from free web calculators and phone apps to Excel and our own platform, FLM System. If your "league" ends after one evening, a free calculator is plenty; if it runs for a season, pick the tool that keeps the standings current without you retyping a single score.

What makes a good league table creator?
Search results for "league table creator" mix three different products: calculators that sort a table, apps that store a league on your phone, and platforms that run the whole league. Before comparing names, it helps to know what each type should handle.
The basics every league table creator must do
A league table creator takes match results as input and returns a standings table as output. At minimum it should count games played, wins, draws, losses, goals for and against, goal difference and points, then sort the teams with at least one tiebreaker. Anything less is a sortable spreadsheet with a nicer font.
The point system matters more than people expect. Most amateur soccer uses 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss, but plenty of leagues tweak it: some futsal and indoor leagues use 3-2-1-0, with an extra point for winning a shootout after a draw, and many organizers dock points for a forfeit. A creator worth your time lets you set those numbers yourself.
The line between a calculator and a real creator
A calculator only knows what you type into it. You finish the game, open the page, enter 3–2, and the table re-sorts. That works until a game gets moved, a result gets corrected or a team pulls out halfway through the season.
A real creator understands what happens before and after the final whistle. It builds the schedule, lets the referee or a coordinator record the score from the field, updates the standings by itself and keeps the scorers list in step. In a 10-team league that plays 18 rounds, that's 90 results you never have to retype.
Our ranking criteria
We looked at each tool through the eyes of an organizer running a real season, using six criteria:
- Where the results come from – typed in by you after the game, or recorded on the field and passed to the table automatically
- Schedule – whether the tool builds the round-robin schedule or only tracks games you planned elsewhere
- Player stats – top scorers, assists, cards
- Sharing – a public page, a shareable link, or an image you post in the group chat
- Limits – team caps, one-league-at-a-time plans, data stored only in your browser
- Device and price – browser, phone app or desktop, free or paid
A tool can rank well with only two of these ticked, as long as it's honest about the job it does. Every free tool below was checked on its own website in October 2026.
The best league table creators and standings makers in 2026
Ten tools made the list. FLM System comes first because it's the only one built to run a whole league; the rest are sorted from the most capable free options down to the do-it-yourself spreadsheet.
1. FLM System – the best league table creator for running a soccer league
FLM System is league management software for small-sided and amateur soccer: rec leagues, indoor, futsal, 7v7 and company leagues. The standings are one part of a system that also builds the schedule, collects results from the field and gives every league its own public website.
The difference is where the data starts. A referee or a coordinator in the stands records goals, assists and cards in the referee app, and the league table updates automatically when the game ends. Live standings even count games in progress and refresh every 15 seconds, so players watching from the sideline can see what a late goal does to the table.
- Results – recorded on the field in a mobile web app, no retyping
- Schedule – built-in scheduler for several leagues sharing fields and referees, without double-booking
- Player stats – top scorers and assists, cards, goals conceded by goalkeepers, match MVP
- Your rules – your own points for a win, draw and loss, extra points deducted for a forfeit, and your own tiebreaker order
- Sharing – a public league page plus ready-made graphics for social media
- Price – $1 per team per month, so a 10-team league pays $10; every account starts with a 14-day trial, no credit card required
Best for: organizers who run a season with a real schedule, referees and players who want to check the standings on their phone.

2. RenderFoot – free league table creator with image export
RenderFoot's league table tool is one of the new free calculators that climbed into the top results this year. You add teams, type in results and the table sorts by points, goal difference and goals scored. There's no account and no stated team limit.
What sets it apart is the output. You can set your own points for a win, draw and loss, then export the table as CSV or as a PNG in three color themes, sized for social media. Everything is saved in your browser's local storage, which means clearing the browser clears the league. Scheduling lives in a separate RenderFoot tool, and there are no player stats.
Fits: an organizer who types results in once a week and wants a clean image for Instagram or the team group chat.
3. Score7 – free standings with a round-robin schedule
Score7 sits between a calculator and a platform. It generates single or home-and-away round-robin schedules, spreads games across weekends, fields and time slots, and recalculates the standings with head-to-head, goal difference and goals scored as tiebreakers. Teams and fans follow everything through one public link.
The free Starter plan allows one active tournament. A second league, volunteer score editors or a custom tiebreaker order need Premium. Score7 doesn't mention player stats such as top scorers.
Fits: a single league with one organizer that needs a schedule and a shareable table, and nothing beyond that.
4. Kickly – a free standings graphic with up to 20 teams
Kickly's League Table Creator is closer to a design tool than a calculator. You build a table of up to 20 teams, choose the columns (points, wins, draws and so on), change the background and download the result as an image. No registration, no cost.
You fill in the numbers yourself, so Kickly doesn't calculate anything from results. For a weekly standings graphic that matches your league's colors, that's fine.

5. League table creator apps: Custom League Tables and League Table Creator
Two phone apps rank near the top for "league table creator", one for each platform.
- Custom League Tables (iPhone, iPad, Mac) – free, with optional tips inside the app, rated 4.6 from 654 reviews on the App Store. It builds round-robin schedules, supports custom point systems with bonus and deducted points, prints the table in black and white and remembers teams between tournaments. No player stats.
- League Table Creator (Android, Myth Productions) – free with ads, 500K+ downloads, rated 3.1. It handles one- or two-leg leagues and group leagues with no team limit, builds the schedule with balanced home and away games and keeps a top scorers list. Recent reviews from September 2026 complain about leagues that don't save, so back up anything you can't afford to lose.
Both keep the league on one device. Nobody else in the league sees the table unless you send them a screenshot.
6. THE TOURNAMENT – league tables with embeds and PDF
THE TOURNAMENT is a bracket and league table generator that works without an account, although guest tournaments can't be edited once the session expires. The free plan caps a league at 6 participants; Premium costs $5 a month and raises that to 64. Embedding the table on another website, PDF output and a shared edit link are free.
It suits a short competition you want to embed on an existing club website. Player stats aren't part of it.
7. iCalculator and Good Calculators – the classic calculators
Two long-standing web calculators round out the free options.
iCalculator's Advanced League Table Creator takes up to 30 teams, your own points for a win and a draw, and goal difference or goal average as the tiebreaker. It generates every game, with teams meeting once or twice (home and away), saves the league and shows a results matrix. iCalculator now marks it as a legacy tool and points new users to its free League Creator, which adds playoffs, cups, divisions with promotion and relegation, and Swiss formats; you sign in to save.
Good Calculators' League Table Creator is the stripped-down option: set the points for a win and a draw, enter results, save the league and load it later. The interface is dated, but it does what it says.

8. Excel or Google Sheets – the do-it-yourself route
Plenty of organizers still keep their standings in a spreadsheet, because everybody already has one. You build the columns, the points formula, the tiebreakers and the schedule yourself, and you control every cell.
The cost shows up later. Every result is typed by hand, tiebreakers beyond goal difference take nested formulas, and sharing means a read-only link that looks terrible on a phone.
Quick comparison
The table puts all ten tools side by side. A cross means we couldn't find the feature in the vendor's own materials.

League table creators and standings makers compared (vendor websites and app store listings, checked October 2026)
Nine of the ten wait for you to type the score in. FLM System is the only one where the result comes from the field and the standings, scorers list and league website update without an extra step.

League table creator apps for phone and PC
"League table creator app" and "league table creator for PC" are some of the most common searches in this category. The good news: you rarely need to install anything.
On a phone
Store apps such as Custom League Tables and League Table Creator keep the league on your own device. That's convenient for a solo organizer and awkward for everyone else, because players and captains only see the table when you share a screenshot.
Browser-based tools work on any phone without an install. FLM System runs that way for everyone involved: the organizer manages the league from a phone or a laptop, the referee records the score in a web app at the field, and players open the league page like any website. The referee app does need a mobile data or Wi-Fi connection at the field.

On a PC or Mac
You don't need a Windows program. Every web tool on this list, from RenderFoot to FLM System, runs in Chrome, Edge or Safari on a desktop, and Custom League Tables is also listed in the Mac App Store for Macs with Apple silicon. If an "app for PC" asks you to download an installer from an unknown site, skip it.
Custom league tables: points, bonus points and tiebreakers
A "custom league table creator" search usually means the standard 3-1-0 table doesn't fit the league. Here's what you can change and which tools let you.
Points for a win, draw and loss
Most tools now let you set the points per result: RenderFoot, Good Calculators, iCalculator, both phone apps and FLM System all do. Custom League Tables and FLM System go one step further. They support bonus points and deductions, so you can take 2 points off a team that forfeits, a rule many adult rec leagues use against no-shows.
Tiebreaker order
Tiebreakers are where free tools get thin. Most default to goal difference, then goals scored. Score7 lets you reorder tiebreakers only on Premium; iCalculator lets you pick goal difference or goal average. FLM System lets the organizer set the full order, for example head-to-head first, then goal difference and goals scored.
Write the tiebreaker rule into your league rules before the season starts, then pick a league table creator that applies it. Our guide to soccer league standings tiebreakers compares the common orders and the arguments they cause.
Choosing the right league table creator
Ten tools, one keyword, three different jobs. The right choice depends on what you're tracking and who needs to see it.
If you're making a Premier League prediction table
People searching for a "Premier League table creator" usually want to predict the final standings or run a FIFA or eFootball league with friends. A free calculator covers that: RenderFoot if you want a nice image to share, iCalculator or the Android app if you want the full schedule. FLM System would be overkill here, and we'd tell you the same if you asked.
If you run an actual league with a schedule
A league with 12 teams, two fields and a season of games needs more than a calculator. Once you have to build a 22-round schedule, track top scorers, chase forfeits and publish the standings where players can find them, you'll spend more time updating tools than running games. That's the point where a soccer league schedule maker and a standings tool in one system start saving real hours every week.
If you want one tool that handles everything
That's FLM System: the only league table creator on this list that owns the whole path from the score on the field to the table on the league website. If you're comparing full platforms rather than table tools, our comparison of soccer league management software puts FLM System next to LeagueApps, TeamSideline and the rest. Starting from scratch? The guide on how to start and run an amateur soccer league covers everything before the first game.
FAQ – league table creator
The questions below come up most often in searches for league table creators and standings makers.
What is the best free league table creator?
It depends on what you need from the table. RenderFoot is the easiest free league table maker on the web, with no signup, your own point system and a PNG export. Score7 is the best free choice if you also need a round-robin schedule, as long as you only run one league at a time. For a phone, Custom League Tables on iPhone has the best reviews.
Is there a league table creator app for PC?
You don't need one, but where the tool keeps your data matters when you switch devices:
- RenderFoot stores the league in your browser, so it stays on the computer where you created it
- iCalculator's League Creator and Score7 save the league to an account you can open anywhere
- FLM System keeps everything online, so you can start the season on a laptop and enter a late result on your phone
Avoid unofficial installers that promise a "desktop version" of a web tool.
Can FLM System work as a league table creator?
Yes, and it handles the awkward cases a calculator leaves to you. If a team withdraws halfway through the season, you cancel its games and the standings recalculate on their own. Correct a result and the standings and the public league page update with it. You set the points per result and the tiebreaker order once, at the start of the season.
How does a league table creator break ties?
When two teams finish on the same points, the creator applies tiebreakers in a fixed order. A common order in amateur soccer:
- head-to-head result between the tied teams
- goal difference
- goals scored
- fair play points (fewest cards)
Free calculators usually stop at goal difference and goals scored. If your rules use head-to-head or fair play, check that the tool supports them before the season.
How do I create a league table in Google Sheets or Excel?
Make one row per team and columns for played, won, drawn, lost, goals for, goals against, goal difference and points. Points are wins times 3 plus draws, goal difference is goals for minus goals against, and a sort by points, then goal difference, orders the table. The formulas take an evening; the weekly retyping takes the rest of the season.
How much does FLM System cost?
FLM System charges $1 per team per month with every feature included, so a 10-team league pays $10 a month and a 24-team indoor league $24. Every new account starts with a 14-day trial with no credit card. Compared with a free calculator, you're paying for the hours you no longer spend typing scores, building schedules and answering "where are we in the table?" messages.
